First of all I would like to welcome you on the West Wings website. On this site you can many information about aviation in and around the Belgian province of West-Flanders. If you are searching for airfield or heliport info, events agenda (open door, airshow,...), soaring, hot air ballooning, skydiving, parasailing, RC modelling, flightsimulation, etc... in our province, then you are on the right place! Also visit the extensive photogallery. As previously mentionned, you will not only find info from West-Flanders, but also from airfields in the near vaccinity such as Amougies (hainaut), Ursel (East-Flanders), and French airfields such as Lille/Lesquin & Bondues(Marcq-en-Baroeul), Dunkerque/Ghyvelde, etc...Something for everyone!
| As webmaster, I would also like to make a brief introduction about myself. My name is Kristof Vandermoere, born at Bruges in 1978 and live in the village of Varsenare, about 4 km South-West of the historic city of Bruges. My very first steps into the world of aviation and spotting date back to the mid nineties when I visited the annual airshow at Ostend Airport for the first time. Main interests goes out to civil aviation, especially in my own province West-Flanders and ranges from general aviation, heli's, hot air ballooning,...to the large airliners. Military aviation is not really my thing except for Koksijde Air Base and it's annual open door. | |
